The 2018 International Workshop on Pervasive Flow of Things (PerFoT 2018) aims to provide researchers and practitioners a forum for presenting and discussing research challenges, design/implementations of new architectures, and experiences on timely/real-time utilization of massive information flows (or data streams) generated from pervasive systems with massive sensors and devices.
Internet of Things (IoT) has been attracting attention due to its economical impact and high expectations for drastically changing our societies. Trillion-scale IoT devices including sensors and actuators are predicted to be installed in “things” such as machines, humans, vehicles, buildings, and environments in the near future. At the same time, we are facing research challenges on how to effectively and timely handle these over-trillion diverse flows (or data streams) gushed from massive different devices in pervasive environment.
Recently edge/fog computing are getting attention and there are many related conferences and workshops, but there is no specific venue to discuss real-time flow processing/utilization and related issues in pervasive environment.
Paper Submission
Submitted papers must be original contributions that are unpublished and are not currently under consideration for publication by other venues. Submissions are limited to a maximum length of 6 pages and must adhere to IEEE format (2 column, 10 pt font, see here ).
Papers can be submitted via the following EDAS submission portal for PerFoT 2018.
Each accepted workshop paper requires a full PerCom registration (no registration is available for workshops only).
Workshop papers will be included and indexed in the IEEE digital libraries (Xplore).
